Weather Policy

If for any reason the weather prohibits us from conducting any training, you may reschedule to the next available class free of charge.The Point of the Mountain (near Salt Lake City, Utah) is known as one of the best locations in the world for consistent conditions. Please call or text 801-448-2494 the afternoon before your lesson to check the forecast for the next day.

Equipment

Birdman Academy offers the best equipment from some of the finest manufacturers in the industry. Used equipment may also be purchased due to current availability. Remember, the 6 lesson package includes either $150 off of a Hang Glider purchase or $50 off of either a Harness, Parachute or Vario. For example, if you buy 3 packages you could get $150 off of a Hang Glider, and $50 off of both your harness and parachute. Save money getting the gear discounts and the cheapest lesson rate by getting the 6 lesson package.

Harnesses

New Hang Gliding harnesses and parachutes are avaliable through either Moyes, Wills Wing or from High Energy Sports. It is recommended that you get yourself a new harness, custom fit to your exact size. In addition to comfort, there are many different harness options out there for you to choose from so that you get what you want and not have to get anything that you don’t.
